I love Pico de Gallo – so decided to try out my normal recipe and added in some Young Living Lime Essential Oils. Its a staple in our house with fajitas as well as having for a snack with some chips! Love the flavor this ones makes. This is just a real basic recipe that you can add so much to, to give it a pop.
Lets gather what you will need:
- 8 Roma Tomatoes or your favorite Tomato
- 1 large sweet onion – I personally like the flavor of the sweet onion in mine, but another onion will work too!
- 6-8 Jalapeños – more if you like it spicy
- 1 bushel Cilantro
- 4-5 limes
- Sea Salt
- Tortillas Chips
- Young Living Lime Essential Oils
Of course before you start be sure to wash off all your veggies!!
Chop up tomatoes and onions into similar sized squares and add to a bowl. Perfection not required, a few pieces bigger or small works, you are going to scoop it up on your tortilla chip or add to your fajita taco!! I chop my jalapeños very finely and remove the seeds, if you want it hotter leave the seeds in and you don’t have to chop very finely and can even add more jalapeño to it. Its really your personal preference on hotness level. If after you finish its too hot you can easily add some tomatoes to lessen the heat! Add jalapeños to your bowl.
Finely chop the cilantro I even add the stems, I use about 1/3 to half a bushel but love the taste of cilantro. Gently mix your tomatoes, onion, jalapeño and cilantro.
Now chop your limes in half and use your lime/lemon/orange squeezer to add lime juice to your mixture. Now add in 4-6 drops of Young Living Lime Essential Oils. Mix the mixture, now add in sea salt to taste and continue to mix.
Now grab your tortilla chips and scoops some up!! Enjoy!!
