So I don’t know about you but I love apple cobbler but have always been very hesitant about trying to make it because lets face it, it looks hard. I searched around for recipes for easy cobbler and was really surprised that I managed to find some pretty easy ones and then of course added my own spin on it. The best part most of us have all the ingredients in their pantry right now. I would go as far to say its crustless so you are really getting the yummy goodness in the inside of the cobbler.
I have to say I am so jealous of those who live near an apple orchard because I remember as a child going to the apple orchards and apple picking. Then as a special treat we’d get those honey sticks! Gosh – so many things to love about fall.
Lets gather what you need:
- 1 8×8 ince baking dish or pie baking dish
- 3-4 Granny Smith Applies cored and sliced
- 1 Cup Young Living Einkorn Flour (if you don’t have Einkorn regular flour will work too)
- 1 Cup White Sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 Cup Melted Butter
- 1 Large Egg
- 2 drops Young Living Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil (optional)
- 3-4 drops Young Living Lemon Essential Oil (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Spray your baking dish with Pam or rub some butter on it so that we don’t have any sticking. Layer the sliced granny smith apples evenly on the bottom of the baking dish.
In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients together until well blended.
Next add in the butter, egg and essential oils until well blended.
Pour this mixture over the sliced granny smith apples in you baking dish. Try to cover all of the apples to ensure the apples don’t dry out.
Place dish in the oven for 35 minutes on 350 degrees. When its done it should have a little browning on the top for a little crispness. Take it out of the over and now you have your yummy easy apple cobbler that you can pair with ice cream. After sitting a while it may have a little extra liquid because the apples can be pretty juicy.
The whole family loves it!!
